We look forward to reading your stories!
If you're new to the site, click on GETTING STARTED to set up a profile for yourself. (We never share your contact info!) This will allow you to make submissions online, saving time, postage, and the earth's resources. It will also get you Glimmer Train's free monthly bulletins for writers. (Here's a sample.)
A few things to remember:
- Notice these links to your left: Password Reminder and
Need Help? Have Qs? They'll always be in the upper lefthand section of each page.
- Will we be able to reach you? Please put the following on your safe-senders list so you can easily get password reminders and monthly bulletins:
noreply@mail.glimmertrainpress.com
autonotify@glimmertrainpress.com
- Already signed up, but forgot your password? Click on Password Reminder to your left.
- Email address change? Keep us up to date by clicking on the Contact Preferences link, which will be visible once you've logged in.
- Writing Guidelines are to your left.
- How do I submit? Once you've done the "getting started" thing the first time, you can just dive in. It's easy and there is no harm to experimenting.
-
Always recommended:
-
Look at the offered "pop-up view" of your submission before finalizing it.
-
After completing the submission process, click on
My Submissions to confirm that your story is in the queue.
- How do I find out results? Competition results are included in our monthly bulletins. You can also see them here. We will email responses to your standard submissions, and you can always check status on all of your submissions by clicking on
My Submissions.
- Who will have access to my stories and personal info? This system securely stores your writing so you and we two editors can see it. When there is a reading fee, even we can't access your credit card info. And we never share your contact info.
You are invited to visit www.glimmertrain.org to find out more about Glimmer Train Stories and Writers Ask. We two sisters have been reading submissions and publishing stories since 1990. Thank you for letting us read your work!
